EIELD INVESTIGATION AND STUDY ON THE TANGSHAN M5.1 AND M5.3 EARTHQUAKES OCCURRED ON MAY 29 AND 30 OF 1991

  • 摘要: 本文首先提供1991年5月29日、30日唐山5.1、5.3级地震的宏观烈度考察结果,其震害特征表明,未来的地震活动对唐山地区的生产与生活无大的影响。而后结合有关的微观资料,从破裂关系方面分析两次地震与唐山地震序列的关系,分析结果认为,两次地震是重复性相同破裂机制地震,发生在7.8级地震的北东-北东东向扩展破裂面上,属晚期强余震性质。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, the field investigation result on macrointensity of the Tangshan M5.1 and M5.3 earthquakes on May 29 and 30,1991 is presented first, the seismic hazard characteristics indicate that the future seismic activity could not produce great influence on the production and daily life in Tangshan re-gion, and then, combining relative microdata, the relationship bitween these two earthquakes and the Tangshan earthquake sequence in fracture is analyzed, the analysis result indicates that these two earth-quakes are repeated earthquakes with similar, fracture mechanism, occurring in the NE-NE extended fracture plane of the Tangshan M7.8 earthquake, belonging to a late strong aftershock and having no re-lation to the seismic activity in North China area.
