华北地区的震源机制

THE FOCAL MECHANISMS IN NORTH CHINA

  • 摘要: 本文作出了1980年以来华北中、强地震震源机制;分析整理出1937年以来华北地区85个地震的震源机制资料。结果表明,半个多世纪以来,该区地震主要为走滑断层类型,震源机制两组节面的走向分别为北北东向和北西西向;主压应力P轴大都为北东东-南西西,主张应力T轴大都为北北西-南南东向。通过对不同时段进行研究推测,华北地震的震源机制不仅具有空间上的一致性,而且在时间上具有稳定性。

     

    Abstract: The authors obtianed the focal mechanisms of moderately strong earthquakes in North China since 1980, and analyzed and sorted out the data of the focal mechanisms of 85 earthquakes in North China since 1937. The results indicated that since more than half a century the earthquakes in this area mainly are the type of strike-slip faults. The strikes of the two nodal sections of these focal mechanisms are north northeast and northwestwest repectively. Most of the compressive principal stress axes p strike northeast east-southwestwest. Most of the tensile stress principal axes T strike north-northwest——southsoutheast. By means of studying and inferring for different time intervals, the focal mechanisms of earthquakes in North China are not only consistent in space but also stable in time.
