Abstract:
In the process of mining and construction, rock mechanics data are indispensable parameters. In this paper, the relationship between rock mechanics parameters is discussed. Several different methods for predicting rock mechanical parameters from conventional logging data and their application in corresponding engineering fields are summarized. Six methods for calculating rock mechanical parameters from logging data are sorted out, namely Cristensen prediction method, empirical formula method, argillaceous content method, regression analysis method, Hoek-Brown criterion prediction method and fracture pressure method. In the absence of experimental test data, Cristensen prediction method, empirical formula method and shale content method are used to calculate the shear wave time difference by using the conventional logging data of the south well field. By comparing the three calculation methods in vertical resolution and plane distribution similarity, it is considered that the prediction method considering shale content in sedimentary strata is more suitable for engineering application.
