THE YOUNGEST SHEAR TECTONIC NETWORK AND SEISMIC ZONING IN NORTH CHINA

  • 摘要: 本文根据华北近期历史地震震中分布和卫片影象解译结果的综合分析,认为华北地壳正在发育一套脆——韧性剪切构造网络。它是现代区域构造应力场作用的产物,控制着华北地震活动图象。两千多年的历史地震资料表明,网络交结的部位是中、强地震发生的主要场所;"网眼"是比较安全的地域。文中讨论了这种构造模式的形成机制及其对华北地震区划和监测预报的实用价值。

     

    Abstract: On the basis of the distribution of recent and historical epicenters and synthetic ann lysis of the Landsat images in North China, it can be inferred that there is a youngest brittle -ductile shear tectonic network developing within the earth's crust.It is aproduct of recent tectonic stress field and is controlling the pattern of the seismic activity in North China.
    The data of historical earthquakes since 231 B.C.have indicated that the intersectional positions of the network are major places where moderately-strong earthquakes occur and the "meshes" are safer locations.
    Finally, the possible origin of tectonic model proposed in this paper and applicability to the seismic zoning and the earthquake prediction in North China have been diseussed.
