Abstract: In this paper the crustal deformation data of Hebei crustal deformation approach before Zhangbei M_s6.2 earthquake is analyzed with the method of periodical filtering and harmonic analysis, and twelve anomalies are obtained, which include ten tendency anomalies and two imminent anomalies. By studying the characteristics of the anomalies and the relation with Zhangbei earthquake, the current situation of prediction with deformation method and its difficulties faced are made clear, and that how to deal with these problem is discussed.
