STUDY ON THE RECENT TENDENCY OF EARTHQUAKE ACTIVITIES IN SHANDONG AREA BASED ON HISTORY EARTHQUAKES AND THE ACCUMULATION AND RELEASE OF STRAIN

  • 摘要: 根据历史地震和应变能积累释放过程对山东地区地震活动特征进行分析, 认为该区目前处于地震活跃时段后期的能量剩余释放阶段, 在此期间将以中等或中强地震活动为主。由现代地震活动特点分析认为, 该区目前处于最近的一个应变能积累—释放过程中的释放阶段, 这一阶段还可能持续4年左右, 在此释放阶段中有可能发生多次4~5级乃至6级地震, 但发生6级以上地震的可能性不大。

     

    Abstract: Based on history earthquakes and the accumulation and release of strain, the characteristic of seismicity in Shandong area is studied.The earthquake activity in the region is in a stage of releasing the remaining energy after a seismic active stage, which characterized mainly by the medium and moderately strong earthquake.According to the characteristics, the stage will last about 4 years, and many M4~5 earthquakes may occur in the stage, but the possibility that over M6 earthquakes occurs is not large.
