THE STRUCTURE AND SEISMIC ACTIVITY CHARACTERISTICS OF JINHUO FAULT ZONE

Jinhuo fault zone is a sub-structural unit of the earthquake zone in North China and a sub-band of seismic activity.According to analysis of structural characteristics and seismic activity characteristics,the belt partition of the Jinhuo fault zone is studied.The result shows that deformation intensity decreases from north to south,structural level improves form north to south.Historical seismic activity and present seismic activity indicate that the northern section is the main sites of seismic activity to the sub-band of seismic activity.On this basis,the predication of seismic activity of strong earthquakes in northern section is carried out using magnitude-time model.
