PRELIMINARY STUDY OF DEEP STRUCTURE AROUND CHINESE ZHONGSHAN STATION IN EAST ANTARCTICA

In this paper, based on P waveform comparison of theortical seismicgrams with five tele-seismograms recorded by Japanese SYOWA station in East Antarctica Enderby land.Crust and upper mantal structures of the Antarctica have been studied.Our result shows that the crustal thickness around Chinese Zhongshan station is about 43km.It has a simple structure mode, indicationg that Antarctica continent is a relatively stable plate and the mountain build-ing or tectonic motion on it was relatively weak.
