CHARACTERISTICS OF CRUSTAL STRUCTURES IN HEZE REGION AND EARTHQUAKES

  • In this paper, 2-D calculation and interpretation are carried out respectively by the DSS data of the eastern section of Heze-Changzhi and the middle section of Xiangcheng-Zhangqiu profiles.The results show that the crustal velocity structures are obvionsly differ-ent in lateral and vertical directions in Heze region.The ups and downs of moho are consider-able, and its depth near Heze is about 35 km.Statistical results show that the most of the earthquakes occurred in the middle and upper crust in this region.This indicates that the earthquakes are closely related to the characteristics of the deep crustal structures.
