Abstract
In this paper, the author studied some problems about the mechanism of elastic behavior of confined water. The following conclusions are obtained: the variation amplitude of pore pressure in aquifer depends on rook's physical and mechanical property, mainly on bulk modulus and porosity; phase lag and attenuation of amplitude of water level of opened well relative to aquifer pore pressure are widely existed. So the static expression dp=rdh should be abandoned; in the observed buried depth interval of aquifer, buried depth has no evident influence to tide difference, then the Melchior's conclusion that tide amplitude is increased with well's depth should be negtive; Boussinesq's analysis solution on stress distribution is not applicable to the geologic body with a complex layer structure etc.
