ANALYSIS AND DETERMINATION OF THE EQUATION OF GROUND MOTION ATTENUATION IN SHANXI

In this paper, based on the data of earthquake intensity in Shanxi and nearby areas (those usually be called the Shanxi earthquake belt)and by the method of least square, the intensity attenuation equation for Shanxi province is determined.Using the data of ground motion attenuation of west America and the method of conversion, the author has analysed and determined the equation of ground motion attenuation in Shanxi.This result of research can be used in the earthquake risk analysis in the areas of large engineerings and seimic zoning of cities in Shanxi.
