NEAR-FIELD SEISMIC OBSERVATION IN LUANXIAN SUB-AREA

The results of the near-field observation in Luanxian sub-area of Tangshart area arepresented in this paper, The observations were carried out at 12 temporary stations equipped with PDR-1 digital recorders during July and August, 1984.#br#The results indicate that the distribution of the earthquakes in Luanxi an sub-area is different from that in Tangshan area. These earthquakes were distributed in NW direction and they directed toword the epicente of the arthquake(M=7.1).#br#The occurrence of earthquakes in Tangshan area may be controlled by thedeep crustal fault I obtained from D. s. s. data. The Luanxian-Leting fault may be a nearly vertical one and it maybe control the microseismic activity in Luanxian sub-area.
