CHARACTERISTICS OF FRACTURING IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE NORTH CHINA BASIN AND ITS RELATION TO EARTHQUAKES

This paper sums up the characteristics of the tectonic evolution of the northern part of the North China basin, The history and features of the main active faults, especially eight of which are more important in the evlution, such as the Cangdong fault, have been studied in detail. Then, the relationship between fault activities and strong earthquakes has been discussed.
