RESEARCHES ON EARTHQUAKE GEOLOGICAL HAZARDS OF JINAN CITY

Based on the analysis of formation age, geotechnical characteristics, geographic and geomorphic conditions, adopting the SPT by means of geological drilling and soil granule test, the sand-soil liquefactions were discriminated.The results indicate that the liquefaction of some areas in the northwestern part of Jinan is slight and partly medium under the effect of earthquake whose intensity is about 7 degrees.It shows that the earthquake geological hazards, such as collapse, silt softening, loess collapsing, etc.are less likely to occur in the main urban area of Jinan.But the falling, subsidence and ground fissure are likely to hit parts of Jinan.
