THE CHARACTERISTIC OF SEISMICITY IN LUANXIAN AREA AND ITS PREDICTION SIGNIFICANCE

Based on historical literatures, two Ms≥6.0 historical earthquakes occurred in Luanxian area is analyzed, their parameters are checked, mean while, the characteristic of their earthquake sequence are also given.The seismicity characteristic in Luanxian area is analyzed on basis of historical earthquake records and instrumental materials before Tangshan Ms7.8 earthquake.Some advice is given to the prediction of the epicenter of Ms≥7.0 earthquake according to the seismicity characteristic in epicenter area of several Ms≥7.0 earthquakes.
