IMPROVEMENT OF THE FORMULA FOR CALCULATING FAULTING PARAMETERS USING DATA OF BASE LINE MEASUREMENT ACROSS FAULTS AND LEVELING

Conventional formula for calculating the faulting parameters using data of base line measurement across faults and data of leveling is only an approximate formula under the premise of the points on both sides are in a same horizontal level.This paper gives the possible error order caused by the conventional formal to the result, provides an improved formula suitable for general condition based on mathematic derivation.
