STUDY ON MOMENT MAGNITUDE OF SMALL AND MODERATE EARTHQUAKES LOCATED BY HEBEI SEISMIC NETWORK

Based on digital seismic waveform data from Hebei seismic network,source spectrum parameters of 62 small and moderate earthquakes form December 2008 to April 2010 are derived,the seismic moment M₀ and moment magnitude M_w of the earthquakes are calculated.The relational expression between body wave magnitude M_L and moment magnitude M_w of local earthquake are obtained using orthogonal regression method.
