GROUNDWATER LEVEL AND GROUNDWATER TEMPERATURE BUNCHING ANOMALIES OF DONGGUO WELL AND ITS EARTHQUAKE REFLECTING CHARACTERISTIC

  • The relationship between groundwater level and groundwater temperature bunching anomalies of Dongguo well and moderate earthquakes activity in surrounding area are analyzed in this paper.The result indicates that the essential characteristic of the anomalies is the synchrony of the step drawdown of the groundwater and the slow rising of the groundwater temperature, and there is corresponding relation between the anomalies and the earthquakes.The amplitude of the anomalies is related to the magnitude of the earthquakes;the lasting time of the anomalies is related to distance between the well and the epicenter.In addition, the mechanism of the anomalies is discussed.
