ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TEMPERATURE CHANGES OF HOT SPRINGS AND THE EARTHQUAKE PRECURSORS

In this paper,based upon the observations of temperatures of hot springs of Maoya,Yuke Longpugou, Rewu and hot air spring in Tuoba in western Sichuan, the relationship bete-ween the temperature changes and several large earthquakes which had been predicted well has been discussed.The authors believe that the temperature changes of the hot springs w-ould be the information of earthquake precursors.Finally, a discussion about the mechani-sm of the temperature changes of the hot springs has been made.
