STRENGTHENING TRANSVERSE CONTACT TO PROMOTE EARTHQUAKE PREVENTION AND DISASTER REDUCTION

Strengthening transverse contact is a strategic measure promoting earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, and is an inevitable trend of comprehensive defence.This paper suggests that we should profoundly comprehend the strategic significance of comprehensive defence, further open up the working fields of transverse contact, completely change the closed work style, do even more better service for the construction of national economy and social development using seismic science, the governments at all levels must further strengthen the lead to the transverse contact and make a deepgoing research to such a problem in the combination of theory and practice.
