THE SEISMOGEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE YELLOW RIVER FRACTURE ZONE IN SHANDONG PROVINCE

Based on the analysis of geology, physiognomy, boring, physical exploration, seismic activity etc. along the Yellow River, the authors think there is a deep and large hidden fracture zone along the Yellow River and discuss the characteristics of the segments, the consistence and nonconsistence characteristics of deep and shallow structures and their activity characteristics. Along the Yellow River fracture zone is an important belt of seismic activity in Shandong region. It is significant to deeply study the seis-mogeological and new tectonic activity characteristics along the Yellow River fracture zone for earthquake monitoring and prediction and the Yellow River defence of this region.
