PRELIMINARY DISCUSSION OF ESTIMATING THE LIQUEFACTION OF SAND WITH STATISTICAL ANALYSIS METHOD

This paper analyzes the application of the statistical analysis method to the estimation of the liquefaction of sand. It is found that the precision of the firsthand data and their normalization have a greateffect on the estimation formula. With an example, the author first presents that it is not enough to examine the estimating formula only with the data that were used to establish the formula. It is very important to examine the variable coefficient with qualitative analysis.
