SHALLOW SEISMIC PROSPECTING IN YELLOW RIVER ALLUVAIL TRACTS, COASTAL SOFT SOIL TRACTS AND WANDERING DUNES REGIONS

This paper takes the shallow seismic prospecting data of our institute in Zhengzhou, Tianjin and Inner Mongolia as examples to illustrate the characteristics and effect of this reflection method for engineering survey in Yellow River proluvial and alluvial regions and wandering dunes regions.The results show that this method is very useful for layer division, determination of the thickness of sediments and faults.It can afford reliable geological data for engineering design and construction.
