PREDICTION OF SEISMIC HAZARD LOSS AND COUNTERMEASURE OF EARTHQUAKE PREVENSION AND HAZARD REDUCTION FOR THE NEIGHBOURING AND FRINGE AREAS OF TAIJIU EXPRESSWAY

  • This paper has outlined the seismic hazard in the neighbouring and fringe areas (19 counties and cities) of Taijiu expressway. Basing on the division of the buildings types, the comprehensive probability method for seismic safety evaluation is used to calculate the intensity probability experienced in each element, the vulnerability matrix of variouse kinds of buildings have been obtained, the damage quantity and expected ecnomic losses of all the buildings in the 19 calculated elements have been calculated, and the calculating results have been analyzed and compared. Finally, the countermeasures for earthquake prevension and hazard reduction have been presented.
