  • In this paper, the distinguishing index and region Character of H, K, U η, b, △M in west Yunnan(23.8-28.0, 97.0-101.5) is summed up through analysing 89 amall earthqukes (Ms=4.7) during January 1996-July 1996. The relationship between small earthquake group and moderately strong earthquakes in Yunnan and its near region is also especially discussed. At the end, the above parameters and indexes are used to try to comprehensively predict future moderately strong earthquakes.
