RELATIONSHIP OF THE H2 GAS ANOMALY WITH EARTHQUAKES IN LINTONG OBSERVATORY

  • The relation of hydrogen gas anomaly in Lintong observatory with MS≥5.0 far-field and ML≥4.0 near-field earthquakes since Aug., 1993 is studied. The results show that the range of hydrogen gas anomaly to reflect earthquake covers the most part from North Qinghai-Tibet plateau to Ordos block. These anomalies mainly related to the MS≥5.0 earthquakes in north Qinghai-Tibet plateau, especially when the background value of hydrogen gas is lower than the detection limit of the instrument.
