SEISMIC PRECURSOR CHARACTERISTICS OF BAYINMUREN MS6.2 EARTHQUAKE THAT OCCURRED ON SEP.23,1976

Through analysis on seismicity and variations of some of seismometry indices about two years before and after Bayinmuren Ms6.2 earthquake,we sound that the seismic activity of the region became stronger obviously half year before the earthquake,where a precursory earthquake swarm occurred in Dengkou area,and seismic belts and earthquake gaps were also showed in the image of seismic activity.After the earthquake,this phenomenon had a trend of shifting to northeast,and b value,Vp/Vs,Q value also showed some anomalies,which may be some triggering factors for Wuyuan Ms6.0 earthquake that occurred in 1979.
