STUDY ON BALINZUOQI-ALUKERQINQI MS5.9 EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED IN 2003 IN INNER MONGOLIA AUTONOMOUS REGION AND ITS PRECURSORY ANOMALIES

An Ms5.9 earthquake occurred on Aug.16,2003,between Balinzuoqi and Alukerqinqi of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Both seismometry parameters of the area and precursory observations in north part of Hebei Province showed some anomalies before the event.The characteristics of anomalies and the relation between these anomalies and the earthquake are discussed here.This earthquake broke the calmness of over 5 magnitude earthquakes,and maybe indicated the beginning of a new round seismic activity.
