APPLICATION OF THREE TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE ANALYSIS OF IN STRONG EARTHQUAKE RECORDS

Based on the analysis to Fourier, Wavelet and Hilbert-Huang Transform, the application of Hilbert-Huang Transform in the analysis of strong earthquake records is discussed with 60 strong aftershocks in Jiji earthquake series.The results show that Hilbert-Huang Transform not only has the same function of other transformations, but has its own new feature, which can reflect the instantaneous characteristic of strong motion.
