ANALYSIS ON THE TENDENCY RISING OF GROUNDWATER LEVEL IN CHANGLI WELL SINCE OCTOBER OF 2002

  • the device in the mouth of Changli Well was reconstructed in Oct. 2002. That the waterspout became small after the reconstruction caused the groundwater level rising. Since Apr. 2003, the water level keep rising, and no sign of turning. As the magnitude of rising was large, and the rate is fast compared with the same period of past years since Oct. 2002, the reconstruction caused the water level rising is questioned. About whether it is a earthquake anomaly, we have made the following analysis: the effect of variation in ground water reserves on the rising and dropping of water level; comparison in the surveying approaches of the same well. Through analysis of mechanism we concluded that the variation in water level might not be earthquake anomaly.
