STUDY ON THE DATA OF ESGAPED GAS RADON RECORDED BY SD-3A AUTO-RADON DETECTOR IN SHANDONG NETWORK

  • The data of escaped radon observed continoususly by SD 3A Auto Radon Detector in Shandong network have been studied and analyzed in this paper.In order to test the identity and reliability of the observed data,we took 100ml water samples respectively for SD 3A,FD 105K and FD 125K Detector,and observed at the same time.The results show the concentration of radon is the same.Then when we observed the released gas radon,the concentration is also consistent.It is proved the observed results of the instrument are reliable.During the period of observation in early November 1998,we catched an anomaly with greatly high values from escaped gas radon,and at the end of the anomaly an Ms4.0 earthquake occurred 100 km away from the station.However the anomaly is not obvious in hand sampling observation,it indicates that the data observed with SD 3A is more reliable than that of hand sampling observation.
