  • We analyzed more than 60 examples from our 20 years stress and strain data that coincide with earthquakes in Hebei province and its adjacent area with statistics.The results show that the anomalies' shape character of stress and strain has obvious relation with the development and occurring of earthquakes.Based on the characters of anomalies "appearance,turning,end" etc.,we concluded some index for short term and imminent eqrthquake prediction,and also discussed how to prediec the time of occurrence,magnitude,and distance of epicenter for an earthquake.
