THE PATTERN oF THE VARIATIOON IN THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE EFFCT AND CORRELATIVE COEFFICIENT OF THE GROUNDWATER LEVEL IN DEEP WELLS BEFORE MODERATELY STRONG EARTHQUAKES

  • By the first order difference method, in this paper the author has calculated the correlation coefficient and the atmospheric pressure efficiency between the atmospheric pressure and groundwater table of four wells in Jiyang basin. The statistical results indicate that the changing scale of correlative coefficient and atmospheric efficiency can be used to determine the abnormal change of groundwater table, by which it is possible to present short-term and impending earthquake predictions.
