SURFACE DISPLACEMENT FIELDS DUE TO VERTICAL FORCE SOURCE

In the case of radial symmetry, the expressions of the surface displacement due to the vertical force source uniformly distributed over the area of a circil are derivated. The results of numerical calculation are discussed and applied to the analysis of the 1976 Tangshan earthquake. This paper also studies the relations between the vertical force source and surface displacement fields with different parameters.
