Abstract
Earthquake prediction, especially impending earthquake prediction, is still a well known hard challenge in the world.To resolve the complex problem, we have to change our present thinking model and exploring means.This author considered that the jumping anomaly of temperature as one of the impending earthquake symptom is more easily to obtain.Based on those observation facts of the jumping anomaly of geotemperature and the anomaly of the satellite thermal infrared remote sensing before impending earthquake and the release of the following underground heat by the geotemperature anomaly surely.This paper summarizes the necessity and possibility of the establishing of a new stereoscopic geothermal observation system.There are more than 2800 meteorological stations and more than 1400 seismic stations, amount to more than 4200 stations in our country.We plan as a whole to add the geotemperature observation of 80cm under depth to the more than 4200 stations and bring into the seismic exploring net.While finding the jumping anomaly of the temperature in certain observation station, the satellite thermal infrared data over on the anomaly area are analyzed at once.How to extract the infrared anomaly related to earthquake from complex thermal infrared information and its condition are a key problem.We can get two conclusions as following.First, the geotemperature observation has avoided basically the effect of the complex changeable weather factors.Second, the satellite thermal infrared sensing has moved to the satellite image over the anomaly of the temperature from around complex changeable satellite images.
