Abstract
In this paper, the Quaternary activity of the Hutuohe Fault is studied by shallow seismic exploration, combined with standard borehole, regional borehole section, petroleum geophysical profile and fault structure. Shallow seismic exploration reveals that the Hutuohe Fault is a normal NE-trending fault with a dip angle of about 80°. The discernible upper fault point is buried in a shallow depth of shallower than 92 m and the vertical offset at the lower Pleistocene bottom boundary is 13 m. According to the stratigraphic division of the Quaternary in this area, the latest active age of the fault is considered to be late Early Pleistocene.
