A Review of Research on Remote Sensing Technology in Earthquake Monitoring and Prediction

  • Remote sensing technology plays a unique advantage in earthquake monitoring and prediction due to its wide monitoring range, short update cycle, and unlimited ground conditions. The article summarizes the research progress and technical bottlenecks of remote sensing in seismogenic structure analysis, structural geomorphology analysis, earthquake deformation monitoring, earthquake infrared monitoring, gravity anomaly monitoring, electromagnetic anomaly monitoring, and chemical element anomaly monitoring. Then, the commonly used satellite and parameter features in various monitoring methods were summarized. Finally, based on the review of the current situation of this discipline, the development trend of earthquake remote sensing is prospected.
