Abstract
The Lin'an urban area of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province was selected as the study area. Based on the topographical slope, the large-scale engineering site classification method of the GIS platform was used to study the application of the medium-hard and hard-site classification in small and medium-sized areas. The corresponding relationship between the terrain slope tangent value and the site type in China is initially given by fitting previous study data, and the reliability of the application is verified by using the collected survey borehole data in the research area. The results show that the registration rate of the site classification method based on terrain slope in the small and medium-sized areas is 87.5%, and the registration rate in the category II site classification is 88.89%, which has a high application prospect.
