Temporal Variation of vP/vS at Single Seismic Station before and after Zhuolu ML4.8 Earthquake in 2014

  • The Zhuolu ML4.8 earthquake On September 6, 2014 broke the 4-year calm of earthquakes in the Jinjimeng area. In this paper, we collect seismic phases records from 2008 to 2019 and select 10 stations around Zhuolu ML4.8 earthquake to calculate the wave velocity ratio using Wadati method of single station and average the initial data using moving average model. The wave velocity ratio calculated by the single Shacheng station shows a typical abnormal morphology of beginning at a low data and back to higher value before Zhuolu earthquake, which shows that the Yanhuai Basin, in where Shacheng station located, may be the seismogenic body.
