Intensity Evaluation of M_S5.2 Earthquake in Jingxi, Guangxi and Its Enlightenment

On November 25, 2019, an M_S5.2 Earthquake occurred in Jingxi City, Guangxi Province, causing a certain degree of disaster losses and casualties. In this paper, the intensity distribution map of M_S5.2 Jingxi earthquake had been revised based on the publicly published seismic intensity evaluation results and the first-hand data obtained from the field work of earthquake, combined with the scientific investigation, supplementary investigation data of the earthquake damage and quick report of instrument intensity. the characteristics of buildings damage and post earthquake geological disasters had been analyzed, the reasons why the earthquake damage of class B buildings is more serious than that of class A and the limitations of the phenomenon of post earthquake geological disasters in evaluating earthquake intensity had also been discussed, in addition, the development trend of rapid evaluation technology of earthquake intensity had also been analyzed in this paper.
