Active Characteristics, Impact Field and Emergency Response of the Guangxi Jingxi M_S5.2 Earthquake

This paper summarized the Guangxi Jingxi M_S5.2 earthquake on November 25, 2019, and found that the occurrence of the M_S5.2 Jingxi earthquake may be a mark of the continuous increase of seismicity in South China. The geological background, earthquake sequence, focal mechanism, strong motion record, earthquake disaster of the Jingxi M_S5.2 earthquake were analyzed to understand the characteristics and influence field of Jingxi 5.2 earthquake activity. The result shows that the Jingxi M_S5.2 earthquake is an main-aftershock type earthquake, the spatial distribution direction is NEE;the strike direction of the main fracture surface is NEE, it is thrust type; the Xialei Lingma fault is the seismogenic fault of the earthquake;there are medium-term and short-term seismicity anomalies before earthquakes;the maximum intensity of earthquake is VI. The study may provide basis for the trend judgment and strong earthquake response after the strong earthquake in this area. Finally, the emergency countermeasures before and after the earthquake are summarized and the significance of this earthquake indication is also discussed.
