Abstract
We systematically collect the data of the Guangxi Jingxi MS5.2 earthquake sequence recorded by the fixed and mobile stations of the Guangxi Earthquake Networks Center, and use the hyp2000 method to absolutely relocate the Guangxi Jingxi MS5.2 earthquake sequence, and compare the different crustal velocity structure models and initiation of search depth on locating results. The results show that it is ideal to use a comprehensive model with 2 km as the starting search depth. The sequence of the earthquake was spread in the NE direction, which was basically consistent with the NE-trending Xialei-Lingma fault near the epicenter. The depth of the earthquake sequence is mainly distributed in 4 ~ 8 km, the relocation depth of the MS5.2 earthquake is about 3.5 km, and the relocation depth of the 4.3 aftershock is about 6.0km, indicating that the earthquake sequence is a seismic activity occurring in the upper crust. The results of this paper may provide data support for subsequent research of the seismogenic structures and the occurrence mechanism.
