Abstract
Laiwu area in western Shandong Province is one of the important High-grade Fe ores bases in China. It is a typical skarn type iron ore related to medium basic intrusive rocks, with high grade and large reserves. The main methods of iron ore prospecting in this area are ground magnetic survey, aeromagnetic survey and gravity survey. Several geophysical anomalies have been identified in the inner circle of the area, and more than 40 large, medium and small iron rich deposits have been explored. On this basis, the metallogenic law of the rich iron ore in this area is summarized and analyzed, and the comprehensive geological geophysical exploration model of the rich iron ore in Laiwu area is established. The following conclusions are obtained: ① The effect of aeromagnetic and gravity anomalies in delineating concealed rock mass is good; ② Close cooperation of geological and geophysical exploration is the key to correct evaluation of anomalies; ③ High precision is necessary to study low and slow anomalies; ④ Local research of magnetic field should be emphasized; ⑤ Breaking through the disordered magnetic field area may lead to prospecting practice.
