  • Based on the seismic data recorded in the last 7 years and the characteristics of the remarkable surface wave in the north of Xizang Autonomous Region, the relationship between the broadband surface wave magnitude MS (BB) and the local magnitude ML under the new magnitude criterion is studied. The impact of the new specification (GB 17440-2017) on magnitude changes is also discussed.
