Preliminary Study on the Symbols of Earthquake Relief in China

To timely understand and update the distribution of earthquake disaster and rescue force in earthquake emergency rescue work, the mark, plotting and other symbols in the images produced during the previous earthquake rescue operation are statistically studied and classified based on the reference of relevant codes and standards at home and abroad. On this basis, the basic styles of symbols of different types are designed. By this means, the standardization and standardization of seismic rescue operation drawing are improved, the drawing work become more faster, convenient and accurate which can be used on different platforms. The research has been applied in earthquake relief operations such as Lushan earthquake and Ludian earthquake et al. and several major earthquake drills and have achieved better results.
