Affection of the Rainstorm on July 19 on Water Burst in Hebei Fengfeng No.24 Well

On July 18, 2016, central and southern Hebei province suffered a rainstorm with average rainfalls of more than 200 mm. Water burst appeared in Hebei Fengfeng No.24 well on August 5 and the water level rose about 11.5 m. The wellhead appeared flowing water for the first time since the digital observations beginning in 2001. Analysis of hydrological geological background, water level change in water burst well, result of water chemistry and stable isotope shows that:the water burst in No.24 well is due to the water supply of heavy rainfall on July 19 which is controlled by geological structure and concentrated discharged in spring drainage area.
