Vertical Crustal Deformation Characteristics in Su-Lu-Wan Area Based on Precise Leveling Data

  • The rate of vertical movement is calculated using the leveling data surveyed in 1985, 1995 and 2016 in Su-Lu-Wan area, conducting dynamic adjustment with constraint of several GPS points. The evolutional characteristics of vertical deformation in Su-Lu-Wan area in recent 30 years are analyzed basing on the vertical movement rate, the gradient and the profiles of some main active faults. The result shows that inherited movement is the primary activity in Su-Lu-Wan area with a rising movement in Shandong and a sinking movement in Jiangsu, and the changes are obvious. The relationship between the historical earthquakes and the gradient maps indicates that the areas with high gradient have a certain reflection on the M4-M5earthquakes.
