Ground Motion Characteristics and Seismic Damage Analysis of Rushan M4.3 Earthquake on January 7, 2014

On January 7, 2014, an M4.3 earthquake occurred in the sea area near RuShan city. In order to further study the earthquake characteristics and to provide reference material for building structure seismic design and the seismic design of nuclear power in this area, the ground motion characteristics of the earthquake is analyzed and compared with design spectrum. Finally, according to earthquake damage survey, some typical damage phenomenon of the earthquake is briefly expounded in the paper, and some opinions and suggestions of effective reinforcement methods for rural building are provided.
