A Trial of Seismic Events Automaticidentification Based on Tiltmeter Records

Seismic events automaticidentification technology is the basis of earthquake early warning. In this paper, the data of vertical pendulum tiltmeteris studied using the EMD decomposition method to divide high-frequency seismic signals from low-frequency earth tide signals, which are analyzed respectively using STA/LTA method in order to achieveseismic events real-time monitoring. By these methods,an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 event in Chinese Taiwan and an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 in the China-Myanmar border areas are identificatedautomaticly with the instrumenture is differentiated.
