A Trial of Seismic Events Automaticidentification Based on Tiltmeter Records

  • Seismic events automaticidentification technology is the basis of earthquake early warning. In this paper, the data of vertical pendulum tiltmeteris studied using the EMD decomposition method to divide high-frequency seismic signals from low-frequency earth tide signals, which are analyzed respectively using STA/LTA method in order to achieveseismic events real-time monitoring. By these methods,an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 event in Chinese Taiwan and an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 in the China-Myanmar border areas are identificatedautomaticly with the instrumenture is differentiated.
