NUMERICAL SIMULATION FOR EARTHQUAKE INDUCED DESTROY OF MASONRY BUILDING

  • A mass of masonry building collapse destroyed during the earthquake.It caused a large number of casualties.In this paper, the destroy process of masonry building was simulated with Particle Flow Code in 3 Dimensions analysis software based on the Discrete Element theory.A reasonable agreement of structure destroy process is reached, to provide technical reference for earthquake relief in mining and tool improvements.
